So the other night Samantha is eating chocolate ice cream in a bowl while I am reading my favourite sewing book,"Yeah I made it Myself". (You have to check out this book to see what I mean, Rachel would love it!)
Samantha finishes her ice cream and says, "Moooom I'm a bit messy. I need a wipe"
Without looking up I move to the sink for a wet towel and turn around to see this......
| Okay so I wiped her hands before grabbing the camera but it was really too good a moment to pass up. |
Interesting bits of conversation for your enjoyment.
As Mummy begins to dump water out of the bath toys in the winding down of bath time Samantha says, "Stop, I have to wash the baby ducks. Poor ducky has so many fleas. See his fleas."
Mummy looks at the rubber duck with the remnants of shampoo bubbles clinging to it, "Yes indeed I see."
Samantha carefully rubs the ducky all over with her Winnie the Pooh cloth as if it is Tang Dynasty porcelain then looks up with a satisfied smile, "All clean."
Mummy squeezes out the water.
"Oh No! This baby has fleas too." The process is repeated for all three baby ducks the Mummy and the Daddy duck. And who knew those click-together-plastic-bubble-things get fleas too.
Now we proceed to toweling.
Samantha: Mummy repeat after me, Once upon a time.
Mummy: Once upon a time.
Samantha: There was..
Mummy: There was...
Samantha: A young lady...
Mummy: A young lady...
Samantha: Who had two childrens.
Mummy: Who had two childrens.
Samantha: Their names were Jack and Jill.
Mummy: Their names were Jack and Jill.
Samantha: They didn't need any water so they stayed inside all day and played. Until the big bad wolf came! And they knew just what to do. They jumped inside the swimming pool and hid until the wolf went away.
Mummy: !?!?!?!?
Samantha: Mummy why aren't you repeating after me?
What, you couldn't keep up with the storyline? :) I love it!!
ReplyDeleteWell, looks like Samantha saved poor little Jack's head from injury, by just not needing water! Brilliant! The picture of her is darling, but struck me how much she has grown! I saw Molly's picture and she too has moved out of that toddler girl look into a "little girl" look.
ReplyDeleteGrandma says the whole thing is very darling:mess, keeping up with her story line, duckies, and of course Samantha's picture. She sure has a wonderful imagination!
ReplyDeleteOur little girl is a messy story teller! She is also very cute!
ReplyDeleteMy love to you all,
A.Nancy
