So here they are in their fabulous masks.
We were short by five friends, two being down south at their Nan and Pop's, two were in Taiwan with their Wai Por and one had an unwell Mummy who couldn't make the drive. 8 was quite enough to be merry with.
There was enough food, the two with bad allergies had no reactions, nothing was broken and there were only minor injuries so all up it was a successful day.
This should be a separate post but time to sit down is rare and far between so here are some photos of recent sewing projects.
The blue and red bag was a quicky made from two left over quilt squares, it was great but two small for a Mummy.
The pleated bag is brilliant, with two inside pocket it hold everything.
The two skirts don't look impressive in the photo but I am pretty impressed with the fit, they have darts and a side zip.
| This skirt I made in November, it's one of my favourites. |
I love this cape but Samantha is not so sure about it. If she doesn't like it we might give it away.
So you are a real seamstress! I just pretend.
ReplyDeleteThey say that kid's parties should be the same size as the child's age, 4 years, 4 guests. So you were very brave! Sounds like fun.
I have had 2 girl sleepovers at my house with the pre-teens in our congregation. They keep wanting another one. But next is a boys party in the backyard with dads, boys, tents, b-b-que and peeing in the bushes. Oops, is that a bad word in Australia?
Sounds like a great party, and I am sure the kids had fun. Yes, 8 seems like plenty, of course if the mommy's come too that makes it a bit easier. Thanks for taking a picture!
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking pics of the stuff you've sewn! Sometimes I miss sewing. I was never as good as my mother, but occasionally I have the desire to be creative. Love the purses!
