Voyage of the Figtickle

Have you ever desired to set sail and see the sights in your very own Figtickle? Well that is what Samantha has done. Samantha is  set and ready for adventure. The Figtickle is one of a kind. Imagined, built and propelled by Samantha. She is sitting at the helm but the stools and the pink and white storage box are all part of this unique Figtickle.
I could not have come up with such a wonderful name had I sat and thought and brain stormed for days. It really is a story worthy name.

Never sail without your trusty mate.

Samantha loves to make funny faces for the camera. Here she is sailing to her new home in her closet.

When Samantha was sick I had her draw a picture then I cut the shapes our of felt. She put the picture together on the fabric and chose some pre-cut shapes and Mommy sewed it all together for a very sunny pillow.                                  At the fabric shop I told Samantha she could choose any fabric out of the $2 bin. To my surprise she chose this bright yellow upholstry material, but it does make a fabulous cushion.
One little Sammy jumping on the bed.....(love these overalls)

  1. Does a changing table cushion form the Figtickle part she is sitting on? We all know that this girl is not short on imagination. She is so clever and I know she will be just like her Mum in creativity, and love to sew as she gets older. In fact I bet Samantha is ready to learn how to sew on buttons!Amber, the yellow pillow is very cheerful.
Last comment: Samantha's hair is sooo long!---------Love ya all, Mom

  2. Very wonderful figtickle Samantha, I would love to have a ride, better yet, take a trip in your imagination! I love the idea to sew her drawings on a pillow, very clever. Have to laugh at the sunny yellow upholstery fabric, as soon as I think I know what my daughter would choose, she surprises me. The wonderful world of little girls.

  3. What a great imagination and so creative with it! It is nice that you enjoy your sewing Amber and you do such a great job. Smatha would probably do well sewing with yarn on plastic needlepoint. The needle isn't sharp and would be a grat way for her to start.
    My love to you all,

  5. I love the Figtickle! What an imagination! I love your pillow. What a fun idea to have Samantha create the design! Sounds like something Molly would like to do ... if only I knew where all my sewing stuff was (we just moved, still have boxes everywhere).
