That's the big question.
| The artist says of her gallery, "When it is so beautiful I burst into tears when I look at it then I'll know it's done. It isn't beautiful enough yet." |
For months Samantha has been like a hovering rain cloud ready to rain down with thunders and lightening any moment. Sure the sun comes out but never for lengthy periods of time. This week it is as if the sun has come out in all its radiance getting the better of any passing clouds.
Like the cover of the cookbook says we are calmer and happier.
I would not say there has been some dramatic shift, she is by no means a perfect little angel.
The difference is she gently pushes her limits instead of mounting full scale attacks. She has been more easy to discipline, she is engaged, teachable and pleasant to be around.
At least from Monday till this morning. Today she relapsed. Or maybe it is just Saturday-itis. Or maybe she needs to break a bad habit. As soon as we arrive at the K.H. car park she starts saying she is too tired. She just wants to be home in bed and begins to whine and whine, and whine AND....
She had two time-outs at the hall and one at our Bible students home. So that was three before 12 after 0 in 5 days. It still averages better than the weeks before the diet.
I am still waiting for her to sleep through the night. (hope, hope, hope)
I am going to cut out vanilla and Orgran rice bubbles and see if that helps.
If all goes well this coming week we will begin our challenges the 1st week of April.
Some day in the new world, after the dust has settled, we'll sit around and tell our great-grandchildren about this crazy awful system that was full of food that was making us sick! And of course the air and the water and the stress and that lovely thing called inherited sin. Until then, we do our best with trial and error. Plus the trials of our errors!
ReplyDeleteHoping for the best,
Jessica
Oh my goodness I could not stop laughing when I read what the artist had to say!! Where does she get that or who does she get it from? Not Stu for sure! But maybe her mother? Grandpa wants to know what in the devil is Orgran rice bubbles?
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like she's still doing better than before. Sadly, at this age, there will still need to be time-outs, and kids will have "off" days where they seem incapable of cooperating. Even older kids. I wonder at what age it stops? Not the teen years, that's for sure. ;-) So perhaps now her "off" days will be fewer and farther between! Sounds like great progress!
