Up to day 4

We have made it to day four without significant up heavels or withdrawls. Samantha has been somewhat calmer but not consistantly. Other mums say it can take 10-14 days to see improvement.
I seem to be the only one with withdrawls, Headache on day 1 and 2, very tired on day 2 and today. Like can't keep my eyes open, seeing double in the middle of the afternoon tired.

Samantha hasn't complained about any food or insisted on having something she can't but she isn't eating a great deal. As a Mom I naturally need something to worry about so I am worrying about her not eating enough. We weighed her on day one and will weigh her once a week to make sure there is no weight loss.

Menu Continued:
Day 3
Breakfast: Weekday breakfast (cereal, toast)
The exciting addition to this day was borrowing my friends soy milk maker. You can put in any kind of bean, so we had black bean and yellow dahl milk.
Lunch: Stu-fried egg sandwich with lettuce and Nuttelex. One tinned pear, Rice crackers and hummus
Amber and Sam: Fried rice with minced chicken, spring onion, garlic, green beans and cabbage
Dinner: Beef Strogonaff (from the cookbook) and salad

Day 4
Breakfast: The same
Lunch: Left overs
Dinner: spring rolls using: rice paper wrappers, bean threads, bean sprouts, green beans, lettuce, purple cabbage (blanched) and shredded lettuce. With failsafe dipping sauce.

Amber's Brown Rice with Lentils
1-2 cups cooked brown rice
2 tins lentils rinsed and drained
5 green onions chopped
2-4 cloves minced garlic
1/4 of a cabbage shredded.

Saute the vegetables in preservative free canola oil till tender, add in the lentils and brown rice and heat through. Sprinkle with salt and a pinch of citric acid.

  2. Sorry for the fatigue, your description actually made me imagine it. Hope you can get some rest. Still so impressed with your work on this. In spite of my home cooking, I find these elimination diets so daunting. I guess because I need to work on auto pilot so much that the mental energy seems overwhelming. Cheering for you to keep up your hard work! Hope it yields satisfying results!
