It was choc-a-bloc. A lady from the UK who was kind enough to let us share her table said, "You think they'd never seen a shop before."
For those uninitiated to the ways in Australia "the shops" usually refers to a small mall, indoors of course. They can be as small as what we might call a strip mall with an IGA or they can have everything under the sun in them. There is always clothing stores and grocery stores, bakery's etc, etc, etc...
We are so excited not to have to drive 30 min to get things like rice bran and agave nectar, which they sell at Coles but not at Wooly's. The new Coles is almost as good as a Nugget and has a very decent GF section, including some frozen food. Also exciting was the opening of Big W (aka Walmart) an there is any number of equally wonderful little delights. Hopefully this will save us petrol money in not having to make long treks for any thing special.
And today as the title suggests we met Dora. I took some cute photos on my new phone which seemed like such an easy modern thing to do. But do you think I can get the same photos onto the computer at a location I can actually access them? Nope.
Not even my tech savvy husband has managed to make the right connections.
If you click enough buttons you are bound to hit on something that works :-)

Preferring to watch the other little girls getting close, and she enjoyed watching the others get there face painted. It would have been better with a friend but none was at hand to join in the fun. We did get a cat on a mat balloon from the balloon maker. Sorry the photos are a bit fuzzy.

How fun! Molly didn't like being near Dora either. And Boots was there ... very cool! How nice you'll have shops closer to you now. That way errands don't have to take up the entire day. :)

ReplyDeleteSorry, for the delete, typos...Nice to have closer shops that have what you need! Save a little on the travel as well as time. So cute that she met Dora, lots of kids seem a bit intimidated when their favorite character is so much bigger than they envisioned! James still talks about meeting Pooh bear, Tigger, and Buzz Lightyear, wonder if Sam will do the same.
